so, i’ve talked to this guy who i like a few times but i get really nervous before i go up to him. i dont know him well, but he seems kinda shy. not alot, but more shy than typical outgoing guys. hes still really sweet and has friends tho don’t think hes a loner lol. anyways, im horrible at starting conversations but i’ve been more confident lately and saying hi when i see him sometimes, and a couple weeks ago i asked him if he was going to the game and we talked about that weekend but it wasnt a very long convo. anyways, i just dont feel like its going anywhere cuz he’s too quiet. i want him to feel comfortable around me and start talking to me on his own. so…what would you do in this situation? i just don’t feel like it’s going anywhere, but i like him alot, and hes really nice to me.
BUT, i have alot of guy friends and he always sees me with them or just friends in general and since he’s shy that could be why he doesnt talk to me first. idk. important: a couple weeks ago he came out of his gym class with his friend and his friend always smiles and looks at me whenever i see him. i shouldve smiled or said hi but i froze up and im just stupid. anyways, i was talking to one of my guy friends and he was distracting me so i didn’t say anything to the guy i like. last week, i went up to him and talked to him. i asked him what he was doing this weekend and he said idk…then i said so what are you doing spring break? and he said he was going out of town and i said oh fun! then i commented on his shirt and said ohh you like that team? and he just said yeah so i said oh me too then it got really awkward so being the dumba$$ i am i just walked off and looked for my friend. it prolly seemed so wierd cuz i didnt even say bye, once again, he was kinda ahead of me. anyways, i feel REALLY crappy now, like he isnt interested at all. so should i stop bothering him?
but i really like him, and out of all the guys i talk to, i KNOW i wanna be with this guy. what should i do? should i ask for his number or is it too soon? p.s., today i looked back for some reason laughing cuz of what my friend said and he looked right at me and i kinda smiled then turned around. does this mean anything? thanks so much

i don’t have any experience in the success range, but maybe don’t make a point of going up to him, but somehow make contact by asking to borrow something… or… idk and when you return it say thank you nicely and smile, then try the QCC i read on another post
search it i really like that strategy and am planning on using it
